ECIA Interior Award 2025

The ECIA Interior Award celebrates outstanding achievements in European interior architecture, honoring Interior Architects and Designers from ECIA member organizations. This inaugural competition is a tribute to visionary projects that push the boundaries of interior design across Europe. For its first edition, the theme focuses on recognizing the most forward-thinking interior architecture project.
The award will be presented during the hybrid ECIA conference, Substance, on 24 April 2025. The recipient of this prestigious accolade will become a key ambassador for European interior architecture. The Award’s significance lies in the recognition and prestige it bestows, positioning the winning project(s) as exemplary within both the professional community and the broader public. Winners will receive extensive promotion across a range of media platforms.
Award Criteria:
The ECIA Interior Award is open to:
- Innovative interior architecture or design projects (excluding products and movable furniture).
- Projects designed by members of ECIA effective or institutional member organizations.
- Projects completed or substantially finalized between 1 January 2022 and 31 October 2024.
- Projects that contribute significantly to enhancing building culture in line with the Davos Baukultur Quality System.
The Davos Baukultur Quality System is a tool used to evaluate the cultural quality of the built environment. Detailed information on the system’s eight evaluation criteria can be found on the Swiss Federal Office of Culture (OFC) website.
Submissions:
A dedicated website for the ECIA Interior Award 2025 will be launched soon. Submissions must be received by 18 December 2024.
Award Ceremony:
The award ceremony will be held during the Substance ECIA hybrid conference on 24 April 2025.
